Drew Powell is a litigation attorney at Simmons Perrine PLC with a growing reputation for his work in estate and trust litigation, business and commercial disputes, insurance defense, transportation law, and personal injury. He represents clients in both state and federal courts, bringing a thoughtful and strategic approach to complex litigation.
Drew’s practice is informed by his prior experience as a Judicial Law Clerk to Chief Bankruptcy Judge Thad Collins of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa, where he gained insight into judicial decision-making and complex procedural matters.
Born and raised in Wellman, Iowa, Drew studied international politics and political theory at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington, and earned his J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2018. He joined the firm in 2019.
