The panel addressed emerging trends in family law ADR, including the recent enactment of Iowa legislation authorizing arbitration in family law matters. The new law allows parties, by agreement and with appropriate court oversight, to resolve family law disputes through binding arbitration, expanding ADR options beyond traditional mediation.
