Max R. Hall
Max Hall joined the firm’s litigation practice, bringing valuable federal court experience gained while serving as law clerk to Chief Judge Thad J. Collins of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Iowa. Max earned her J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law, where she was active in the Iowa Law Review and the Journal of Gender, Race, & Justice.
Payton M. Rochford
Payton Rochford joined the firm’s Business Transactions and Counseling practice following a clerkship with the Honorable Judge Paul B. Ahlers of the Iowa Court of Appeals. Payton graduated as valedictorian of his class at Drake University Law School, earning his J.D. summa cum laude while serving as a member of the Drake Law Review.
Nicholas R. Downey
Nicholas Downey joined the firm’s Estate Planning and Private Wealth practice. A graduate of Drake University Law School, Nick earned his J.D. while serving on the Drake Law Review and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Wills, Trusts, and Estates. His experience includes serving as an Honors Judicial Extern for the Iowa Court of Appeals and interning with the Iowa Solicitor General’s Office.
Alex J. Hefel
Alex Hefel joined Simmons Perrine’s Business Transactions and Counseling practice. A graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law, Alex received the prestigious Kierscht Full-Tuition Merit Scholarship. He previously earned degrees in Political Science and Economics from the University of Iowa.
Elizabeth A. Wiesman
Elizabeth Wiesman joined the firm’s Litigation practice and brings an impressive record of academic excellence and advocacy experience. She graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law with high distinction, earned membership in the Order of the Coif, and received numerous honors, including the ABOTA Outstanding Trial Advocate Award and first-place recognition in the Stephenson Trial Advocacy Competition.
